Senior Officer Contract
The position… A versatile and innovative leader with a passion for social justice is required to manage the development of community capacity. Specifically, the Manager Community Strengthening leads a team of 80 staff to develop and deliver community learning and library services, the community grants program, the social infrastructure strategy and multicultural and indigenous policy, planning and support initiatives.
You will have…
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant industry experience
- Strong team player, with the ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence and sound judgement whilst collaborating and cooperating on decisions and initiatives
- A commitment to social justice
- A record of achievement and innovation in people management and leadership in a dynamic and political environment, and creating an environment focussed on staff engagement, accountability and decision making
- Highly developed analytical and lateral thinking skills and the ability to take the initiative, drive changes and implement innovations
- Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and maintain business plans and associated budgetary and financial management requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to use discretion and judgment in a complex business and political environment
