Senior Officer Contract

The position… Lead the city’s essential community support services, including aged and disability services, child care, parenting services, family support activities and maternal and child health services. This position requires a team-focussed and motivating leader to ensure key services are developed and effectively delivered to the community.

You will have…

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant experience and proven achievement in human services planning and delivery
  • Strong team player, with the ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence and sound judgement whilst collaborating and cooperating on decisions and initiatives
  • A record of achievement and innovation in people management and leadership in a dynamic and political environment, and creating an environment focussed on staff engagement, accountability and decision making
  • Highly developed analytical and lateral thinking skills and the ability to take the initiative, drive changes and implement innovations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and maintain business plans and associated budgetary and financial management requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to use discretion and judgment in a complex business and political environment
