Maternity leave position up to 12 months
The position… will participate in the delivery of health care and support for families with young children across any of the centres within the municipality. Your key responsibilities include assessing and monitoring children at risk, and liaising with team members and external agencies in relation to their needs. New graduates are welcome to apply.
You will have…
- Maternal and Child Health qualification and current practising certificate
- Knowledge of the needs of a low socio-economic and culturally and linguistically diverse community
- Specialised knowledge of women’s health, infant feeding, child health, development and behaviour, post-natal depression, bereavement, crisis intervention and family violence
- Basic counselling skills and an understanding of community development processes
- The ability to develop parenting and health education programs
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), computer skills and evaluation and analytical skills
- Ability to operate as an autonomous professional and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
