Family Health Resource Officer

$57 272 - $64 462 (pro rata) + super

Temporary to 4 January 2011

The position…provides administrative support and resource development  across a dynamic and diverse Maternal and Child Health and Immunisation Service within the community. A strong commitment to high quality work and attention to detail is highly desirable,

You will conduct the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR) Quarterly Data Cleansing and Maternal Child Health data cleansing and reminder system, input of school and childhood immunisation data into the appropriate software programs, operate and assist nurses to utilise the MaCHS software program for client records and ImPS2 software for immunisation records, and prepare and monitor correspondence for the Family Health and Immunisation Coordinator in accordance with City of Melbourne corporate standards.

You will have…

  • Demonstrated commitment to high quality customer service including an ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality and be respectful of people from a diverse range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
  • Proven ability in accurate and efficient word processing and data entry of large volumes of data, with expertise in the use of the MS Office suite (in particular MS Word and its functions), together with desktop publishing database and spreadsheet applications to produce a variety of documents
  • Well developed verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and members of the public
  • Ability to work as an effective team member
  • Demonstrated an ability to work with large groups of people including Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) clients during Community Immunisation Sessions; and
  • Excellent organisational skills and good personal presentation.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a police check.
