Personal Trainers - North Melbourne Recreation Centre (10 – 15 positions)

$21.67 per hour + super
Part time irregular

Are you interested in working at a brand new multi purpose facility comprising state of the art gymnasium, sports court, and the North Melbourne Pool?

The position... will be responsible for providing health and fitness services, including: lifestyle and progress consultations, fitness assessments, exercise prescription, and will be expected to demonstrate exercise in a professional, safe and user friendly manner. You will be required to liaise with customers, respond to their queries and provide advice and information about technical matters and North Melbourne Recreation Centre’s programs and services.

You will have…

  • A Certificate III in Fitness & Certificate IV in Personal Training
  • A Current Health & Fitness Registration with Fitness Australia
  • A Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate, Current Pool Lifeguard certificate and Current Working With Children Check or willingness to acquire independently by 1/12/09
  • Experience undertaking fitness assessments and providing personalised exercise prescription
  • Understanding / experience delivering gym based retention strategies
  • Skilled in the provision of customer information which outlines the benefits of membership and secondary spending, in particular Personal Training to prospective customers and/or members
  • Proven team orientation in the workplace
  • Be a willing and self directed learner and take responsibility for personal performance
  • Take a proactive approach to the role and workplace
  • A Group Fitness Qualification (Aerobics/Aqua Aerobics/Cycling/Les Mills/Boxing/other) would be desirable
